What I Learned This Week
This week I read an article on mashable.com this week and learned about a new service that Starbucks will be offering later this year. The article was entitled "Starbucks and Postmates partner to bring coffee delivery to your door" by Christine Warren. The article reports on the company's latest announcement that they will be implementing a delivery service for some of their stores. Though it will not official be done until late 2015 and in select shops many coffee lovers are very excited over the news. I found this article interesting because I love starbucks, and I know that many others do as well so it will be interesting to see how well this works.

What I Learned This Week
This week for one of my warm ups I read an article on mashable.com that listed 5 ways to use your phone less. The ways that were listed were surprisingly basic and simple, it is just a matter of implementing the tips into your daily life. Most of the tips involved participating in activities in which technology was not used at all and simply enjoying time alone. In addition to this, turning off notifications seemed to be a practical and easy enough to follow tip, this way your phone will not be ringing and you will not be tempted to look at your phone. The article was an overall interest to me because many teenagers, myself included, spend too much time on their phone and tips on how to reduce this can be very helpful/

What I Learned This Week:
http://mashable.com/2015/02/26/apple-march-9-event-invites/
This week, for one of my warm ups, I read an article off of mashable.com called "Apple teases March event with 'spring forward' invites" which was written by Christina Warren. In the article the author discusses the press invites that Apple has recently sent out to announce an event that they will be hosting on March 9. Apple was sure not to write anything specific about what the event will entail, however, they were sure to be coy about what they said in the invite. The phrase "spring forward" which is usually used when speaking about daylight savings time was purposely use. Many speculate that the meeting will be on their new Apple watch which they had originally announced during last September. This article had caught my eye because it is always interesting to read about the newest products and technology that Apple is coming up with.
This week I learned about a hyperloop project that may work. Its cool cuz it'll go super fast like sci-fi fast. I also learned about an event that happened in a mall where Disney chracters played with shadows with cunsumer. Lguhter ensues. I also leanredhow to type better though this blog may contradict that but im just alil sick. Finally I leanred about a dress thats black and blue but to some people its white and gold. I think its white and gold, but its really balck and blue. Its cuz like the shaowing soesn dome freaky stuff to your eyes.

What I Learned This Week:
This week about a new Smart Eyeglass made by Sony when I read the article "Sony SmartEyeglass now available for pre-order" written by Stan Schroeder for my warm up. In the article I learned that the new tech from Sony can now be pre ordered in the UK and Germany for $840. The article insinuated the products similarity to that of Google Glass which has recently stopped being sold. This is what had originally caught my interest; the fact that last year Google came out with something fairly similar. It will be interesting to see how the former product's "replacement" will do. So far, from what has been seen through the products recently released promotional video critics doubt it will due much better than GoogleGlass because of the technology's awkward and bulky build. However, the product is said to allow users to communicate, get directions, and even share photos.
This week I learned about an iPhone case that looks like the BTTF DeLorean which I want so bad. It lights up and I think does cool little sounds. I also learned about a guy who knits sweaters for penguins. Penguins in sweaters are the greatest thing evar. I improved my typing even more because I can type faster now.
2/20/15
This week I added more coding to my scratch and now the sprite knows how to fly. In addition, I exceled through Typing Web and progressed through the specialty courses. Yeh :)
February 20, 2015
This week was interesting, particularly with the warm-ups. Yesterday I read an article about how there will never be an Apple Car. There were six main reasons why, and I'm guessing a lot of people are upset about this, because they were so looking forward to it. This week was also awesome because there was no quizes. Yay! I hope we don't have to take another quiz for a while... And I'm sure other students will agree with me.
2/20/15
This week I learned more about the Scratch program. I learned how to add another sprite and make it correspond with my original one. This helped me create my project in a different direction than I thought.

Blog Post: February 13, 2015
This week I read a fairly interesting article on mashable.com entitled "Teen faces murder charges after Snapchat selfie with victim's body" by Rex Santus. The article had original obtained my interest through its title; the fact that a seemingly harmless app such as Snapchat was used in a murder investigation to catch a killer surprised me. The app is mostly used by teens for sending pictures to one another. After the picture is received and seen it is supposed to be deleted forever, however there are ways in which a picture can be saved. One of these picture saving methods were used when a teenage boy received a picture from his friend who had killed another boy and taken a picture of himself with the body. The receiver showed his mother the picture, who then went on to report the incident and give the picture to the police. The boy is currently being held in jail without bail awaiting his trial in which he is being charged with murder in the first degree as an adult.

This week I improved my typing so that I make less mistakes. I also learned how to type without looking at the keyboard so much. There was also some cool news I found on mashable.com. I found out about a guy who knits sweaters for penguins that were caught in an oil spill. They had really colorful sweaters too it was cute. Then theres virtiual reality becoming more efficient and cool. Its kind of like were in the 80's again, everything is so new and cool like YAASSS. I would buy one cuz like it would like allow me to do some cool stuff giggity. I also like how theres this possible new thing called hyperloop tranisportaion which I guess is like a bullet train but faster. This week was very productive and cool, but I cant wait for the weekend. hastag weekend bum hashtag humble brag hastag penguinsweaterz
2/13/15

2/9/15-2/13/15
This week I learned about the new technology that has come out from Android, and the failure that it has had. Furthermore, I learned about my typing speed and how it feels more natural for me to type, and I feel more comfortable typing without looking. I feel like by the end of typing web I will definitely be able to type without looking.

What I learned this week:
This week I read an article by Rex Santus in which he reported on a new technology by Apple. In the article I learned that Apple will be releasing a new music streaming service similar to that of Spotify. One of the differences seen by the two service thus far is price; Apple will be giving their for cheaper than Spotify. It is also rumored that the service is going to be using Beats' content and technology, while switching things up with a new name and "fresh Apple design". This was the most interesting article I read this week because it reported on a new innovation by Apple besides a new IPhone. It also came as a surprise that Apple would be the cheaper of the two competitors.

P4 Computer Business
This week I read a interesting article about an app that will tell you how likely your plane is to crash. You just type in the airport you departing from, the airport you will be landing at, the airline you are flying with, and the type of plane you are on. The app was made to help anxious flyers relax.
Period 4 Computer Business
This week I read an interesting article about a new Toyota i-Road which is a three-wheeled car and it has power steering with a battery charge pack. I think it will be the "next big thing", however it is highly unlikely that I would ever find myself driving one of them. The other downside is that they only go up to 37 mph and I need something that has more speed and durability.
2/6/15
This past week I learned about a new app that is not like other apps because the game play will be control by how fast or slow your heart rate goes. The app is supposed to keep people inform of their heart rate and how to maintain it at a normal level. I really like how the app is going to work because its different and keeps people in check and maybe later more apps will have similar features like the Skip a Bear app.
What I learned this week 2/2/2014- 2/6/2015
This week I learned about the Microsoft Word Outlines, and how to edit them. It was a really helpful review because I realized I am writing my essays at a faster pace. Furthermore, the review on typing web is working for me because my typing speed is increasing, and I feel myself not looking at the keys as much as I used to. Lastly, me warm-ups everyday help me stay connected with the news, and enabled me to be knowledgeable about my surroundings.
February 6, 2015
I thought that this week was interesting. Typing Web was brought back...Yay! A lot of students didn't finish their typing web, including me. I just forgot to finish the last two lessons. Oops, I will finish my Typing Web this time. The warm-ups were really easy, because they were all the same thing. Maybe we should mix things up a little bit. It's just a thought.

1/9 blog post
This week I read an article that I enjoyed about the CES convention. I read about a few advances in technology coming out like a washing machine that can wash two loads at once. It was interesting.
1/9 Blog Post
This week I enjoyed the warm ups because I discovered new products that are coming out. I also enjoyed creating the google calendar. My dad has been trying to get me to make and connect it to my phone. I can finally say I created one that will help me through the rest of senior year.
Warm ups
I really like the warms ups because i always learn something new about the different types of technologies that are coming this year or later in the future. There are many articles to choose from such as "New smartphones battery recharges in less than 2 minutes." All of the articles a very interesting to read and look at the products that you might purchased later on.
I found it helpful that Ms. D printed blank calendars for the rest of the year for us to fill in because we can visually put the date in perspective- you can see if an assignment or event is happening or due in a week, days, months. Furthermore I find it useful to have the calendar digitalized when it can notify you on your phone because you are normally in close proximity with it. Although only having it digitalized on your computer is not that useful for me particularly because I am not on the computer often.
1/9/15 blog post
This week the activity I enjoyed the most was making the google calendar. I think with the new year, the calendar is a great way to remain organized for the new semester. It will ultimately help in the long run.
This week for one of the warm ups I read "Polaroid Zip delivers instant prints for your smartphone snapshots" by Joshua Goldman. This article from cnet.com reported on a new technology called the Polaroid Zip. This is a small box that allows users to print pictures directly from their smartphones. The two devices are connected through a free app, which also allows for the user to print a small 2x3 inch print as if they had taken the picture with a polariod camera. However, this app also gives users the capability to choose filters and stickers for the picture. This article interested me because the polaroid camera has been trending recently, except now their is a way to take the pictures and get the print outs without the actual burden of carrying around a bulky camera.
